Newsletter Digital Talent Lab

Welcome to the Digital Talent Lab Newsletter

Dear colleagues, students, and partners,

It’s my pleasure to welcome you to this edition of the Digital Talent Lab Newsletter. As someone whose journey began in the world of mathematical uncertainty and evolved into the vibrant, data-driven landscape of smart cities, I am continually inspired by the complexity and unpredictability of the urban systems we study and shape together.

At the Digital City Lab here in Brno, we see uncertainty—not as a barrier, but as a source of innovation. Our work brings together talented minds from across the world, leveraging advanced data analytics, machine learning, and AI to decode the intricate behaviors of cities. Through our Digital Talent Lab and initiatives like the Datathon, we invite curious, ambitious individuals to join us in hands-on, real-world projects that bridge academia and industry.

This is a space for experiential learning, creative problem-solving, and building the professional networks that will define the future of urban innovation. As we navigate the challenges of privacy, ethics, and rapid technological change, we remain committed to responsible research and impactful solutions.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. I look forward to the discoveries, collaborations, and successes we will share together.

Warm regards,

prof. Stan Sobolevsky
Head of the Digital City Lab
